What is Microart?

MicroArt Semi Permanent makeup is a proprietary technology perfected by our team of electronic engineers, cosmetic biochemists, and Founder Hollywood makeup artist Tanya York. The goal was to develop a makeup that could last for years on the skin, look more natural than makeup, and eliminate all of the side effects of other forms of permanent makeup. After five years of development, MicroArt has now been enjoyed by thousands of people who fly in from around the world to get their procedure.

There are no other forms of permanent cosmetics like it. MicroArt utilizes cutting-edge equipment, custom blended mineral-based pigments, and a system designed to ensure results so natural that even men wear it. MICROART CHANGES LIVES

Our clients no longer worry about vitiligo. They never have to use vitiligo cover-up makeup or concealers that don’t really match but smudge onto clothing, make a mess and wear off. Our clients never worry about what clothes to wear to cover their vitiligo. They never have to sacrifice activities that they love due to embarrassment. Our clients feel better, become far more confident once their vitiligo is no longer visible.

VITILIGO TREATMENT FOR YOUR HANDS

Having vitiligo on the hands can be very disturbing for our clients as make up does not stay on to cover it, and light treatments do not work well on hands. We treat a lot of vitiligo on hands and the results are life changing.  Lidocaine (numbing) injections to prevent any pain or discomfort are required when we are treating hands as they are naturally sensitive with more nerve endings in the skin. Lidocaine injections (at a modest addition cost) must be pre-scheduled.

VITILIGO TREATMENT OF YOUR FACE

The face is the 2nd most common area that we treat for vitiligo. Even though it can be covered with makeup, applying makeup is quite time consuming. It rarely matches well requiring the entire face and throat to be covered. And then you are constantly worried about it wearing or sweating off requiring reapplications throughout the day as well as anxiety that it smudges on to your clothes or your friends’ bathroom towels. For male clients it’s even harder as they usually do not wear makeup to cover.

VITILIGO TREATMENT FOR YOUR BODY

MicroArt can be applied anywhere on the body except genitals. Common areas that we treat are wrists, under-arms, elbows, shins, knees and feet.  Far too many of our new clients have never worn shorts for embarrassment of their knees, nor short-sleeve shirts for their elbows nor sandals for their feet. Enjoy the confidence you will feel to wear any clothes you desire, anytime, anywhere.

VITILIGO TREATMENT FOR YOUR MIND

Imagine your skin looking perfectly natural 24/7, no visible sign of vitiligo, whether stepping out of an ocean or pool soaking wet, crossing the finish line after a summer 10K run, coming off a hot tennis court right after a sweaty match or after a romantic afternoon.

The freedom. The confidence. The peace of mind is achieved with MicroArt.

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN

MICROART — AND OTHER FORMS OF MIGROPIGMENTATION

Permanent makeup, Cosmetic Tattooing, Medical Tattooing, Micropigmentation are all terms used for similar procedures. Compared to MicroArt they use multiple, heavy gauge needles to penetrate deep into the skin causing heavy bleeding, bruising, scarring, downtime, and risk of infection.  Permanent makeup uses various forms of tattoo inks that are sometimes toxic to the body; its colors are harsh and change color over time. As with tattoos, those inks are designed to stand out on the skin, not to blend in.  Permanent makeup artists’ training is only a few days with many at a one-weekend course.

MicroArt Semi Permanent makeup, on the other hand, has amazingly natural results. There are NO SIDE EFFECTS. It will not trigger Vitiligo to spread.  Because MicroArt technology uses a single acupuncture needle-thin as a human hair that vibrates on the outer layer of the skin 80 to 100 times per second, the results are precise. Colors are custom blended with non-toxic mineral-based pigments. It takes about 1 year to train a Micro Artist to perform the procedure.  We have worked on 1,000’s of people with Vitiligo over the past 10 years.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT VITILIGO CAMOUFLAGE TREATMENTS

What happens during each Vitiligo Treatment?

Colors are custom blended for each area to match your skin tones. Pigments are non-toxic and sourced from natural minerals. We have never had a single allergic reaction to any of our products. Pigment is deposited into the white areas of the skin using proprietary equipment that houses a single acupuncture needle (the width of a human hair) that gently vibrates on the outer layers of the skin. The vibration deposits pigment into the skin until the desired color is achieved. Your MicroArt technician evaluates the skin at the beginning of each session and custom blends a color to best match your natural skin tone. Your treatment, the custom pigment blends, are meticulously charted and photographed for future sessions and reference.

How many sessions do I need?

Multiple sessions are needed in order to seamlessly match your color. During each session, a pigment is blended into the skin in layers. For our new clients initially, 4 sessions 4 weeks apart are required. Because some of the pigment exfoliates after each session, the series of sessions are necessary to build the color into the skin and seamlessly match your skin color.  It takes about 4 weeks after each appointment for the color to completely settle and stabilize. During each session, more pigment is added to the skin in thin layers changing the color of the skin and blending it to your natural skin color. You will see instant results after each session. Every 4 weeks you’ll return for more pigmentation until you have had 4 treatments. During each session, the color is reviewed and adjustments are made if needed.

Each vitiligo camouflage treatment is unique, so the number of sessions needed to obtain the desired results will vary based on each client’s individual situation. On average 80% of our clients are color matched in 4 treatments.

What can i expect after each session?

You will see the results right away! After each session the pigment will appear more intense and will lighten up in time for your next session where we add more pigment. After each session, the color fades less until the color is matched and blended. Your skin will be a little red and irritated between 3-10 days after each appointment. Like a sun burn. No makeup or skin care products can be used on this area for 7 days. After 7 days you can use your normal products again.

How long does will it last?

MicroArt typically last up to 3 years on the skin if not maintained, though this varies somewhat individually. During that time, it will gradually fade. Most clients choose to maintain by coming in for a touch-up session every six months to once per year or two depending on your skin. With maintenance sessions your vitiligo will never be seen again.

Will it hurt?

The level of discomfort varies from person to person depending on what area of the body is being camouflaged. We always use a strong topical numbing cream. MicroArt uses a single acupuncture needle (the width of a single human hair) that gently vibrates on the outer layers of the skin so discomfort is minimal.

Lidocaine (numbing) injections to prevent any pain or discomfort are available if needed. However, they are required when we are working on hands as they are naturally sensitive with more nerve endings in the skin. Lidocaine injections, at an addition cost, must be pre-scheduled so that our doctor is available to administer them. When scheduling a session of three hours or more in a single appointment regardless of the area of skin being treated, numbing injections are recommended but not required.
