Numerous steps are taken during each appointment to ensure that you will love your MicroArt Semi Permanent makeup lips.

THE DESIGN: Detailed measurements of your lips will be taken with an erasable so you can see, adjust and optimize the shape before micro-pigmentation begins to get the look you will love. We specialize in very natural looking results and most clients choose MicroArt because they are looking for natural looking lips – yet all our work is customized so we can create the precise look that you want to achieve. Your Micro Artist will consult with you about your individual needs and style that you would like to achieve.

THE COLOR: Our Micro Artist will consult with you about the best color. Because our colors are custom blended we have an unlimited selection. Some clients prefer to bring in their favorite lipstick for us to match the color.

A CONSERVATIVE APPROACH : During the 1st session, we cautious with color, fullness, and shape of cupids bow as we can always add more on the 2nd session. Your lips will look great after the first session but will look even better after the 2nd appointment. Once our mineral-based pigment is applied in thin layers, using a shading technique – you will be able to check the work after each layer to ensure you are delighted.

TOUCH UP APPOINTMENT: Because the procedure is done in two appointments, the lips are always slightly underdone in the first session leaving room to make them thicker, or brighter in your 2nd appointment. During your 2nd appointment, the shape and color are fine-tuned.

EXPERIENCED TECHNICIANS: All MicroArt Technicians are certified by MicroArt Founder, President, and Master Micro Artist Tanya York. Each Technician undergoes months of study and training prior to being certified and must be as skilled as Ms. York herself before being permitted to work on clients.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCEDURE?

STEP 1: THE DESIGN

Your lips will be designed based on your personal style. Detailed measurements are taken and your lips are penciled on for your approval. Your lips can be completely reshaped and made fuller.

STEP 2: THE COLOR

We will help choose the most natural looking color for you. Our colors are custom blended, non-toxic, they are made from natural mineral-based pigments.

STEP 3: PIGMENTATION

Our Equipment uses a single acupuncture needle that gently vibrates on the dermal layers of the skin depositing a mineral based pigment into the skin. A pigment is precisely applied in thin layers until the ideal color and shape are achieved creating a completely natural look. During the 1st session, we take necessary precautions. Less is more. This session is about getting a nice base started and the fine-tuning takes place in the 2nd appointment.

STEP 4: THE TOUCH-UP

2-4 weeks after your 1st session you’ll return for a touch-up appointment to review the color and shape with your technician and make adjustments if needed to ensure that you have the look that you want to achieve.

MicroArt equipment uses an acupuncture needle as thin as a human hair that vibrates on the outer layer of the skin 80 to 100 times per second. The results are precise. Colors are custom-blended with non-toxic mineral-based pigments. Our Artist customizes the design to fit each patient’s look and desires. It takes about 1 year to train a Micro-Artist to perform the procedure. The results are incredibly natural.

Other Techniques

Permanent makeup is applied using heavy-gauge needles or a blade to penetrate deep into the skin, causing bleeding, bruising, scabbing, scarring, and downtime.  Other techniques use tattoo inks that are toxic to the body; colors are harsh and change in the skin over time. So people can end up with blue/grey and orange inks in the skin.  Permanent makeup often accentuates signs of aging. Over time, the ink moves as the skin stretches and ends up in the wrong place.

Permanent makeup artists’ training is only a few days. The equipment & products used all contribute to the harsh look associated with permanent makeup and microblading.

FAQ’s ABOUT MICROART SEMI PERMANENT LIP PROCEDURE?

STEP 1: The Design

The shape of the lip can be re-designed for a youthful fuller look. The lip is first lined then completely shaded, for a natural appearance. Your technician is a color expert and will help choose the right color or custom blend a color for you.

STEP 2: Pigmentation

MicroArt Semi Permanent Makeup uses a single acupuncture needle that gently vibrates on the dermal layers of the skin depositing a mineral-based pigment into the skin.

STEP 3: The Touch Up

You will return for a touch-up appointment 2 weeks after your 1st session to perfect the shape and color of your lips. This touch-up appointment is included in your price.

Your lips will be puffy right after the procedure. The degree of this varies from person to person. In most clients, most of the swelling will be done in a few hours. The lips will appear brighter in color for a few days after the procedure and the color will start lightning up.

  • Arrive at your appointment 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, well rested and relaxed.
  • If you have had cold sores in the past, we recommend that you take a cold sore medication 3 days prior and 3 days after your procedure to prevent a possible breakout.
  • If you have a favorite lip color that you would like us to match please bring it or your technician will recommend a color

  • We have a wide variety of colors as well as we can custom blend colors. You can bring in your favorite lipstick and we can match the color. Alternatively, work with your technician to pick the right color for you. This procedure is done in two appointments so that you get to see what the color looks like once it settles in and the color can be adjusted on the 2nd session if needed.

Yes! We can create fuller or a more symmetrical shape to your lips.

Yes. The Micro Artist will design the shape of your lips before starting the procedures so that you can get the exact shape and size that you want.

$1,500.00 the price includes:

  • The design. MicroArt is custom-designed based on the style the client wants to achieve.
  • The procedure, which takes about an hour
  • A touch-up appointment is included two weeks after the procedure to add more color.
  • After-care products.
  • Additional touch-up sessions are $600 per session.
  • Numbing injections can be scheduled with the doctor for an additional cost.

MicroArt is nowhere near as pain full as other forms of permanent makeup. MicroArt uses a single acupuncture needle that gently vibrates on the outer dermal layers of the skin, therefore discomfort is minimal without downtime.

We also use a strong medical-grade topical numbing cream.

Yes, you can.

We are able to do the desired look you want but included in the full lip shade and liner. We will advise on the most natural look but ultimately it is the desired outcome you desire.

Maintenance appointments are optional. If you do not maintain MicroArt, it will completely fade away over time. We suggest that if you want to maintain your lips so that they always look their best plan for scheduling a touch up once a year for best results.
